Q: What is the difference between the air-dry kit and ceramic kit?

Our Air-Dry Pottery Kits are perfect for beginners and casual makers — no kiln or oven needed! Your pieces dry naturally at home within a few days/weeks and are painted and sealed once dry. These pieces are decorative only and cannot be used for eating or drinking from and must be cared for delicately. The Ceramic Pottery Kit is for those who want to create functional pieces (food and liquid safe) or want the ceramic glass finish. These pieces need to be glazed and kiln-fired (through a local kiln-firing service) to make them food and water safe.

How long does the clay last in the pouch?

Up to one year unsealed.

Once the pack is open it will stay moist for a few weeks if you seal the zip lock properly. Just add some water to the bag if it hardens a bit and let it soak in for a few days.

What if I’ve never tried pottery before?

Our pottery kits are completely beginner friendly and have easy to follow instructions and video tutorials but if you get stuck you can always DM or email us at anytime!
